Supply has established a worldwide reputation when it comes

and lifting magnets. Scores of salvage operations have been

We designed several special underwater magnets
for Smit Salvage in Rotterdam. These magnets have a relatively
small diameter (about 1500 mm) and a lifting capacity of about
60.000 kg.
The breaking point for metal parts
to be lifted underwater is about 80.000 Kg. This is accomplished
by utilizing the special operating system on the deck of the
salvage ship.
The photos show steel rolls being
salvaged from a ship on the ocean floor. The magnet sometimes
grabs two rolls at a time.
It goes without saying that besides providing
specific services to our special contractors, underwater magnets
can used to clean up the water floors off of scrap handling
docks as well.
